On Tuesday 21st February several people from St Martins T.L.C shop went on a visit to the Musuem of Policing in Cheshire, this is situated at the police station in Arpley Street Warrington.
On Saturday 18th February St Martins singers gave a concert performing a variety of songs. These songs were from various modern and older musicals, some recording artist and closing with a well known hymn and blessing.
The St Martin’s annual Post Christmas Family Party was held on Saturday 9th January. This was a party for Families, meaning the whole of the St Martin’s Church Family, as well as the Church member’s Individual Families.
St Martin’s organised another of it very popular vintage afternoon teas on Sunday 29th November 2015 and on a cold wet and very windy afternoon. However, around 70 people braved the conditions to make this event another resounding success for St Martin’s and £480-65 was raised.
We are all, well, most of us anyway, are familiar with the activities of Superman and his alter ego, Clark Kent, through both the American comics published by DC Comic books, many films and several television series. Whenever trouble was taking place, Clark Kent changed into Superman in the blink of an eye, usually in a telephone kiosk, or in American terms, ‘phone booth’ and then Superman flew through the air at many times the speed of sound to protect people from either a huge disaster or criminal activities.
