Meeting Point

A Brief History

In 2003 it was recognised that some kind of daytime midweek social gathering would benefit the community, from this concept ‘Meeting Point’ evolved.

The idea lay dormant for two years until, during 2005, plans were made to hold the first meeting in September, and the speaker at this first meeting was the then minister of St Martins’ Revd Malcolm Atherton.  As the saying goes “The rest is history”

What’s It All About

‘Meeting Point’ is a social afternoon which takes place at 2pm on the second Tuesday of the month.

It is an opportunity for men and women, church members and members of the community to feel comfortable meeting new and old friends, have a cup of tea/coffee and a piece of cake, while listening to interesting speakers who cover a large variety of subjects. Everyone is most welcome to join us.

The cost is £2.00 each, which includes tea/coffee and homemade cake and represents excellent value.
