On Tuesday 21st February several people from St Martins T.L.C shop went on a visit to the Musuem of Policing in Cheshire, this is situated at the police station in Arpley Street Warrington.
This museum is run by volunteers and booking is by prior appointment, it is housed in the Victorian Cells and shows collections and exhibits spanning the history of the county force founded in 1838.
During the visit we were given tea/coffee and biscuits before being encouraged to dress up in authentic police uniforms, take as many photographs as we wanted and browse at our leisure. This visit was enjoyed by all and many will be returning for another visit.
There will be an Open Day for the Warrington Police Museum on 9th September 2017 when it will be open to the public from 10.00am to 4..00pm.
